The American Bulldog - What a Great Dog!

Granted, it requires a manager with strong leadership skills to have the message during that rock like head. But, once your Bully knows who's the boss, you will find no problems. It is better to start while they're still very young...because your Bully will test you. When socialized and trained using positive reinforcement, punishment-free techniques, you won't look for a happier, more energetic, loyal, goofy, loving, fun dog. The amazing thing about them is, once you start training them as in the beginning as you can, they're so sensitive and do desire to please their owner. To get their attention, all it takes is really a change in the tone of one's voice. They respond instantly! Wait too long, and you could have more of a challenge. They are medium size, but extremely powerful. Not the very best dog if you have young children or elderly visitors! They are so enthusiastic to generally meet and greet, they may knock someone over by accident. They do have a higher prey drive, so  XL American Bully Kennel  getting them in check and desensitized to smaller pets while still a puppy, is a great idea. In addition it really helps to thwart possible dog aggression. If you are an inactive, the American Bulldog is not the best dog for you. They require plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. They could be destructive if left alone without something to help keep them busy. They love to be mentally challenged, and will surprise you with how fast they catch on. The important thing ingredients when training an American Bulldog are confidence and consistency. Their egos want to be stroked with lots of praise and hugs. That's why is them an easy task to train. Once they know they've pleased you, they strut around like peacocks, with this little nub for a trail wagging back and forth! They could be silly, and will placed on a present every chance they get, especially once they know you appreciate their humor. Bullies are generally gassy and they could sure snore! Some drool significantly more than others. If you're neatnik, any dog in the Bully family may not be the best dog for you. If you have a drooler, you'll feel naked with out a towel draped over your shoulder. Granted, they do look intimidating, but don't judge the book by the cover. They are typically terrific with people. Most really and truly believe everyone they meet, is their new best friend. Main point here: Don't eliminate the American Bulldog. Do your homework. Be cautious where you get them. Sound responsible breeding is important. They may not be fuzzy or what we typically consider as cute. None-the-less, they do have an endearing face, and are actually wonderful pets. To understand them, is always to love them!
